How it works

Four steps. None of them is “trust us”.

Every step shows its work, so you can see what Kajlos sees — and decide for yourself.

  1. Find the cause

    Kajlos checks event logs, drivers, services and the network — and shows what actually went wrong, not just "something is slow".

  2. Show the evidence

    Every finding comes with concrete evidence: which service is stopped, which driver is out of date, which event happened and when. You see exactly what Kajlos sees.

  3. Repair safely

    Repairs are small and bounded, and each one says what it changes and how to undo it. Before a significant change, Kajlos offers to create a restore point. Nothing changes without your permission.

  4. Check it works again

    After a repair, Kajlos re-checks the exact thing that was broken — it does not just say "done".

Safety

Built so a repair can’t make things worse.

Kajlos doesn’t improvise on your PC. It can only perform repairs from a fixed, reviewed list — each one small, checked and recorded.

  • A fixed catalogue of repairs

    Nothing outside that list can change your machine. Each repair is checked against a real device, printer or setting before it runs.

  • Restore point first

    Before a significant change, Kajlos offers to create a Windows restore point. Every repair is written to a journal you can read.

  • Admin only when it’s needed

    Most checks need no special rights. When a repair does, Windows asks you first — and the elevated helper exits once it’s done.

Privacy

Your PC’s details stay on your PC.

Kajlos is software that runs on your computer. Most of what it does never leaves it — and the privacy notice says exactly what does. Privacy notice

  • Diagnosis happens locally

    Logs, settings and evidence are read and analysed on your machine.

  • Crash reports are redacted

    No names, paths or personal data. On by default so we can fix bugs — and you can turn it off in settings.

  • No trackers on this site

    No analytics, no advertising trackers, and no fonts or scripts from anyone else’s servers. The only cookie we set remembers your language.

Beta

Honest about the limits.

Kajlos is a beta. It does not fix everything and can sometimes be wrong. Complex or risky repairs are labelled as such, and for some problems Kajlos will only explain, leaving the decision to you. This is not a tech-support service — it's software you install and run yourself.

Is Kajlos a cleaner or a “PC optimizer”?

No. It doesn’t hunt for things to delete or count registry entries. It starts from a problem you actually have, finds the cause, and repairs only that — then checks the repair worked.

Will it change anything without asking me?

No. Checking is read-only. Every repair is shown to you — what it changes, how risky it is and how to undo it — and only runs when you say so.

Does it need administrator rights?

Only to install, and for certain repairs (for example, clearing a stuck print queue). In that case Windows shows its usual permission prompt first.

Why does Windows SmartScreen warn me when I run it?

Kajlos is not yet code-signed, so SmartScreen may show an “Unknown publisher” warning the first time. This is expected for a beta, not a sign the file is unsafe. Click “More info” → “Run anyway”. You can compare the file’s SHA-256 with the one on the download page. We plan to sign the build before the open beta.

Which versions of Windows are supported?

Windows 10 (version 2004 or later) and Windows 11, 64-bit.

Is this a tech-support service?

No — it’s software you install and run yourself. Nobody connects to your PC remotely.
